I consider it an important task to understand and empathise with my patients’ problems, because only then can I suggest the best solutions for them.
I often meet modest people who are content with “it’s fine for me” solutions. In such cases, I feel that I have a human and professional duty to present them with better options that can improve their self-esteem and quality of life.

I was born into a family of doctors, where my mother is an ENT specialist and my father is a dentist. From a very young age, I have been inspired by the dedication of my parents, so this is probably where I got the drive to work in this field. I initially thought about psychology, but eventually decided to pursue a career in medicine.
I consider my father and Stephan IHDE, the creator of the IHDE implant system, to be among my most important and outstanding masters. Stephan IHDE is a brilliant specialist with unrivalled knowledge who has revolutionised international implantology. With his system, 99% of patients can have permanent, fixed prostheses, which is not always the case with traditional implant systems. I believe it is important that this technology is available to all people, regardless of the amount of bone in their mouth or their genetic make-up. The IHDE implant system is a solution even for people who have a weak bone stock, very little bone volume or who have genetic predispositions that make certain bony areas difficult to reach.
On one occasion, an 87-year-old lady came into the surgery. Because of her Parkinson’s disease, it was not possible to take an X-ray, so I could only examine her sitting in a chair. The porcelain crown on her upper right second tooth had broken off with the tooth and she asked me to glue it back on.
Unfortunately, this was not possible, but I found another solution: I pulled the root, put an IHDE implant in its place, then drilled out the residue from the crown and glued the old crown onto the implant. He got a virtually immediate tooth replacement, which would not have been possible with conventional methods. This procedure was completed in just one hour.
In dentistry, you can help patients quickly, and that is very important to me. Toothache is one of the five most severe pains, but thanks to the numbing and professional care, the patient gets relief almost immediately. That’s why I feel that our work is extremely useful and important. Every day I work to help as many people as possible and give them back their pain-free, confident, full smile.
It is important for me to create a comfortable, safe atmosphere for my patients during treatment and to ease any tensions. I often “water-pistol” with the children using the dental instruments, but I have also had occasion to sing an operetta with an older patient. My wide range of interests means I am at home with many different subjects, so it is easy to make connections and we quickly find common ground.
Equally important is confidence and well-coordinated teamwork with assistants and dental technicians. If we can work together effectively as a team, the patient will feel that we are all working as one for his or her recovery and well-being.
In my free time I exercise regularly, read (fiction, professional content) and enjoy going to the theatre – although it is a fact that recently more actors from the Katona József Theatre visit me than I get to their performances. Art is an important part of my life, as it requires the ability to empathise just as much as the medical profession.
I am an advocate of a healthy lifestyle. I believe that a doctor can only be authentic if he or she lives a healthy life and is active in maintaining his or her health. I believe in leading by example: a doctor’s role is not only to cure, but also to educate and teach health. As a proud and happy father of two daughters and three sons, I believe that awareness and responsibility is the most beautiful and important mission in life.
My short term plans include the full implementation of “Chair Side Dentistry” where, also with my professional responsibilities, we can apply the latest digital design and dental CAD/CAM technology locally within our family business. This way, patients can receive their final prosthesis in a maximum of two hours, avoiding a wait of days or weeks. This fast and accurate process results in precise, highly aesthetic and durable restorations without the need for impressions, providing patients with exceptional comfort.
